Above & Bee-yond

Enrichment Programs are offered on a regular basis including music with Miss Cindy and her guitar, dance/creative movement, Yoga, science (Puddle Stompers or Stony Brook Wildlife), My Gym, puppet/story teller, Farm Babies and more!

Holidays and Celebrations: We celebrate every holiday including birthdays! A Christmas Pageant is performed yearly, Grandparents Tea, Mother’s Day Luncheon and Father’s Day Coffee Hour also. A multi-cultural month invites families to come in to share their cultures and traditions.

Workshops/College Courses: We sponsor in-house speakers for staff and parents as well as providing funding for college courses related to Early Childhood Development for staff.

Parent Involvement: Creating a warm and open link of communication between home and school is a priority with the staff at Precious Beginnings. We begin at Pick-up time with an outside whiteboard recaping the day's events, allowing the parent an opportunity to share with their child moments from their day. Parents also receive a weekly newsletter highlighting the activities and experiences of the week from each Program. In addition, a monthly on-line newsletter from the Director is emailed to all parents with news of upcoming plans and events.

Parent’s Association: Formed by the families to create a Parent Liaison to the Board of Directors and as an opportunity to become involved in the school events, volunteer ideas or abilities, meet and form friendships, and create a community feel to the school. Meet once a month at rotating homes with refreshments and siblings welcome.
