As the Owner and Founder of Precious Beginnings, she brings her 25+ years of teaching and her degree in Early Childhood to the growing program. Her responsibilities encompass all aspects of the operation of a successful school, including staffing, overseeing curriculum, and caring for the needs of the families. She works side by side with her husband, Mr. Rick. They have two adult children, Pete & Hannah, and a grandson - Lucien. She shares a love of Kayaking with Mr. Rick and also enjoys boxing 3 days a week.
Rick Garron
Mr. Rick’s business strength and hard working commitment to all things PB bring great results to all he does for the school. As Business Manager and co-owner, he handles the property, the billing and all of the financial responsibilities of the school. After many years of experience in the computer/telecom field, he happily traded careers 12 years ago to be an active, daily part of the PB experience! He is also a licensed Teacher whose classroom is outside on the Playground. He and Miss Nancy share a love of kayaking and enjoy watching the Red Sox and the Patriots together!
Alyson Miller
Before joining Precious Beginnings 6 years ago, she worked for many, many years in the Westwood Public School system, most recently as a Literacy Specialist, Curriculum Coach and Literacy Interventionist for Kindergarten students. Before that, she was a classroom teacher in early childhood classrooms K-2. She holds a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Wheelock College and an MS in Curriculum Development specializing in Literacy from Lesley University. She has 19-year old triplets each in college in the New England area. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending their down time on Martha’s Vineyard in the summer.
