Our Teachers

Nancy Garron

Miss Nancy continues to pour her heart into the day to day needs of the school. As the Owner and Founder of Precious Beginnings, she brings her 25+ years of teaching and her degree in Early Childhood to the growing program.  Her responsibilities encompass all aspects of the operation of a successful school, including staffing, overseeing curriculum, and caring for the needs of the families.  She works side by side with her husband, Mr. Rick.  They have two adult children, Pete & Hannah, and a grandson - Lucien.  She shares a love of Kayaking with Mr. Rick and also enjoys boxing 3 days a week.

Rick Garron

Mr. Rick’s business strength and hard working commitment to all things PB bring great results to all he does for the school. As Business Manager and co-owner, he handles the property, the billing and all of the financial responsibilities of the school. After many years of experience in the computer/telecom field, he happily traded careers 12 years ago to be an active, daily part of the PB experience!  He is also a licensed Teacher whose classroom is outside on the Playground. He and Miss Nancy share a love of kayaking and enjoy watching the Red Sox and the Patriots together!

Alyson Miller

Before joining Precious Beginnings 4 years ago, she worked for many, many years in the Westwood Public School system, most recently as a Literacy Specialist, Curriculum Coach and Literacy Interventionist for Kindergarten students.  Before that, she was a classroom teacher in early childhood classrooms K-2.  She holds a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Wheelock College and an MS in Curriculum Development specializing in Literacy from Lesley University. Through her post-graduate work, she became passionate about Brain-based learning for reading development, specifically the foundational reading skills necessary to get students ready at the preschool level to enter into Kindergarten classrooms prepared and with confidence. She has 17-year old triplets each with their own needs, who are all gearing up to start the college application process.  She and her husband enjoy their busy family life along with spending their down time on Martha’s Vineyard in the summer.

Danielle Hooper

Miss Danielle is excited to be returning for her fifth year as a PB Teacher.  She brings both a nurturing and playful personality to the classroom.  She is currently enrolled in classes at MassBay for Early Childhood Education.  Danielle has 10+ years of Nanny experience caring for local families.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and seeing a good movie.
